I work with writers, directors, game developers and creative teams to translate concepts into visual material that gives the project shape, direction, and momentum. Something that makes the idea feel credible, and real enough for someone else to engage with it and be inspired.

How the work comes together

Most of the work sits in that early phase where things are still forming – tone is undefined, direction is shifting, and timelines are tight. Traditional pipelines don’t handle that well, so the process is built to move quickly and adapt.

Depending on what’s needed, that might involve developing a director treatment, building a visual language around the project, or creating a sequence of frames that establish mood, world, and intent. I use a combination of hands-on art direction and AI-assisted workflows (Midjourney, Kling, Nanobanana, Higgsfield) to iterate quickly without losing control of the outcome.

The goal is always the same – to give you something concrete to work with. Not just references or ideas, but material that can be used to communicate, align, and move the project forward under real-world constraints.

Context and continuity

This approach builds on earlier work contributing to film development and pitch material within the Weta Workshop ecosystem, including projects such as District 9 and Halo. The same principles still apply – clarity of tone, cohesion under pressure, and the ability to make something intangible feel immediate.

Voltaire Media is a one-person practice, which keeps the process direct and efficient. You’re working with the same person from concept through to delivery, which tends to reduce friction and keep things aligned.

If a project moves beyond early-stage and needs a public-facing platform, I can help with that work via Fahrenheit Digital.
